- Content integration: users can attach documents to work items from crawled
documents in the AquaLogic Interaction Knowledge Directory.
- Collaboration:
- Design-time collaboration for BPM implementations enables users to share process models as portlets.
- Ability to invoke business processes from AquaLogic Interaction Collaboration documents.
- Integrated user experience with Collaboration, including the ability to view work item details from Collaboration.
-
Internationalization support and localization of portlets in Dutch,
English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese
(Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, and Korean.
- J2EE application server support.
- Community preferences enable users to set default process applications and views for communities.
- Work List Items cannot be sorted by the initiator. (Issue # 49968)
- Capture errors are returned by Fuegi/AquaLogic BPM when participant is absent. (Issue #50612)
- Execution of a process activity when the activity is an external method results in an AquaLogic BPM error. (Issue #51242)
- The Oracle versions of create_schema.sql should not reference the PLUMINDEX tablespace. (Issue # 51515)
- A process cannot be instantiated from an external JSP portlet. (Issue #52646)
- When using MS SQL Server for the directory service, synchronization issues may occur under rare conditions. (Issue #53092)
- A NullPointerException is thrown when starting the failover engine. (Issue #53575)
- Global applications with instance access are displayed in the
Applications portlet instead of the Work Item Details portlet. (Issue
#53601, Support Request #1-3700498933)
- Images do not appear in Fuego Object Presentations or BAM dashboards. (Issue #53620, Support Request #1-3747691557)
- Collaboration attachments do not work in processes with split-join activities. (Issue #53702)
- The FuegoWarehouse service does not populate the BAM database. (Issue #53766, Support Request #1-3784589492)
- When a portal user is deleted and then recreated, some PAPI calls
using this user will fail with a "cannot authenticate participant"
error. (Issue # 54617)
- When the process engine is restarted, all work items selected by
the current participant since the engine was last restarted become
unselected. (Issue #55975)
-
General
- startwebconsole.bat and startwebconsole.sh JVM settings and memory
arguments are not optimal. (Issue #56015)
- When starting the Process Administrator for the first time on AIX,
the following exception is thrown: "Exception in thread "PMB Message Processor"
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com.plumtree.openfoundation.util.XPArray".
(Issue #54731)
Workaround: This exception can be safely ignored
as there is no functional impact. It is thrown only on the first startup
of Process Adminstrator and does not arise on subsequent startups.
-
General
-
Fewer concurrent process user sessions are supported than in Plumtree
Process 1.5. The server can support up to 300 concurrent users without
a performance impact. (Issue #56014)
Workaround:
Decreasing http session-timeout to 10 or 15 can increase a number of
concurrent users that can be supported by the server without a
performance impact.
Put following in $ALBPM_HOME/webapps/portal/WEB-INF/web.xml before
mime-mapping:
<session-config>
<session-timeout>15</session-timeout>
</session-config>
- Intermittent: On the Process Administrator Attachments page, when changing
credentials to create instance-specific folders in Collaboration, the
change might not take effect and the previously saved user name will be
displayed in credentials field after Process Administrator is reloaded.
(Issue #55391)
Workaround:
Re-enter new credentials again if such a behavior occurs. -
Process Administrator Attachments page Help link yields "HTTP Status 404" error. (Issues #56399)
- Process projects created prior this release using jsp pages w/ jstl-1.0
do not work in this release. Such projects have to be modified to use
jstl-1.1. (Issue #55674)
Workaround: In all 1.5 jsps, change the following
in the jsp. This is done in a text editor, as you cannot edit JSP files
in AquaLogic BPM Studio 5.7:
<%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/core" prefix="c" %>
to:
<%@ taglib uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" prefix="c" %>
* Note the addition of jsp in the uri URL.
-
Basic Authentication does not work with WebLogic 9.2. (Issue
#55793)
Workaround:
If users do NOT want to authenticate basic authentication headers, they need to add this to their config.xml.
Add this element:
<enforce-valid-basic-auth-credentials>false</enforce-valid-basic-auth-credentials>
to the last line of <security-configuration> in config.xml for
the users domain, usually in
/bea/user_projects/domains/mydomain/config/config.xml.
This keeps WebLogic from trying to authenticate basic authentication
headers.
-
User and Group Maintenance
- When a user is deleted from AquaLogic Interaction, the participant
becomes disabled in Process Administrator. If you add a new user with
the same name to AquaLogic Interaction, Process Administrator displays
one disabled and one enabled participant, both with the same name. (Issue
#49565)
- As a result of user and group integration limitations, Process Administrator
filtering on users returns results using "ID", "Display Name", and "Any"
filter conditions only, and "ID" and "Any" parameters when filtering Groups.
(Issues #55312 and #55314, AquaLogic BPM 5.7.x issues #FUE-19576 and #FUE-19577)
- General
- Users with an active Workspace Extensions session do not receive "New
instance ..." process e-mail notifications. Process user session is not
getting closed after user logs out of the AquaLogic Interaction portal
and expires when session is idle for 20 minutes. (Issue #56323)
- Rarely used "Reassign" functionality does not work. (Issue #56360)
- WorkList Items Portlet
- "Grab" multiple instances at once does not work. (Issue #56209)
Workaround: "Grab" instances one at a time.
- "Select All" checkbox only works on first page. (Issue #56048)
- Having the Unified Worklist Portlet and individual Worklist Portlets
("Process - Applications", "Process - Views", "Process - Worklist Items,"
etc.) on the same portal page generates a JavaScript error. (Issue #55976)
Workaround: Do not mix "Process - Unified" portlet
with other Process portlets on the same page.
- Applications Portlet
- Invoking the same process from the "Process - Application" portlet
twice will open two new windows but only one will succeed in creating
a new instance. Submitting a form from a second window will generate the
following error: "The result for the current component is already set.
Continue on with the normal execution. Please continue with the normal
execution." (Issue #54962)
- New/Edit View and Search dialogs
- In IE 6.x, after clicking the date picker in an existing view's creation
time filter, the Finish button becomes disabled. (Issue #56102)
Workaround: This issue arises when the interval
between the date picker and the Finish button clicks is less than 0.9
seconds.
- Intermittent in IE 6.x browser: Worklist Items Search and New/Edit
View Filter Processes page requires two attempts to select or deselect
the Filter Options selection boxes. (Issue #56032)
Workaround: The option is selected or deselected
with the second attempt.
- Collaboration Attachments
- Adding a 1 MB or larger Collaboration attachment to the process instance
fails with "Process is unable to process this request" error. This is
an AquaLogic Interaction 6.0 and 6.1 EDK issue #56222. (Issues #56034
and #56222)
Workaround: Add a customized client-config.wsdd
that specifies commons-httpclient as the handler. This can either go into
axis jar, or into /tomcat/commons/classes. If this goes into /commons/classes,
add commons-httpclient.3.0.lib into /commons/lib, along with commons-codec.1.3.jar.
- There is a limit on the number of links to Collaboration documents
that can be added to a process instance at one time , but there is no
"Remove" functionality if more than five documents are selected. (Issue
#56242)
Workaround: Close and open "Link to Collaboration
Attachment" dialog window again.
- Initiating a process froma Collaboration documents fails when only
the machine name is used when logging into the AquaLogic Interaction portal.
This is a Collaboration 4.2 bug #56148. (Issues #56150 and #56148)
Workaround: Use a fully qualified portal URL
when logging into the AquaLogic Interaction portal.
- After initiating a process from Collaboration Project Document explorer,
the work item is not displayed in the Worklist Items portlet if loaded
immediately after an instance was created or instance might be displayed
without attachment in Work Item Details portlet. (Issue #55696)
Workaround: Refresh Worklist Items portlet.
- Process Attachments
- Process Attachments: in IE 5.x and IE 6.x, when checking out Process
Attachment file with .doc and .ppt extensions, the default filename in
"Save As" dialog is "ViewAttachment" instead of actual file name. (Issue
#56237)
Workaround: This is not an AquaLogic BPM Workspace
Extensions issue and, in order to fix it, msword and powerpoint should
be removed from the following section of the AquaLogic Interaction 6.1
httpcompression.xml file:
<!-- IE Compression for Mime Types beginning with 'application/' (IE
has compression issues with pdf files on some adobe plugin versions)-->
<component name="httpcompression:defaultApplicationSettingsForIE"
type="http://www.plumtree.com/config/component/types/httpcompression/application">
<!-- application/ sets the default compression mode for all MIME types
with the application prefix on the configured clients-->
<setting name="default">
<value xsi:type="xsd:boolean">false</value>
</setting>
<!-- semicolon delimted list of MIME type postfixes to force compression,
overriding the default -->
<setting name="forceCompression">
<value
xsi:type="xsd:string">mspowerpoint;vnd.ms-powerpoint;powerpoint;x-mspowerpoint;x-visio;msword;visio;vnd.ms-project;x-project;xml;java;java-byte-code;x-java-class;x-javascript;javascript;wordperfect</value>
</setting>
<clients>
<client name="IE5"/>
<client name="IE6"/>
</clients>
</component>
- Uploading a 9 MB or larger Process Attachment (that is, AquaLogic BPM,
not Collaboration attachments) file leads to gateway error.(Issue #56239)
Workaround: Increase gateway timeout in AquaLogic
Interaction portal settings.
- A Process Attachment file with filename different from the original
can be checked in without a warning or error message. (Issue #56269)
- Knowledge Base Attachments
- Knowledge Base search returns KB documents from subfolders for Process
Users with "Read" permissions. Trying to attach such a document to a process
instance throws exception. (Issue #55429)
- 508 mode
- "Checkout" button has to be clicked twice in order to see "Check in"
and "Undo check out" buttons. (Issue #56232)
- "Edit Process Attachment" (AquaLogic BPM, not Collaboration attachments)
throws a stack trace if the attachment does not have a description. (Issue
#56234)
Workaround: Add a description when attaching
a document to a process instance.
- Security
- If the Everyone Portal group is added to Work List Details portlet security
settings, the process instance details page can be accessed through the
email notification link by a "Guest" user. Although the "Guest" user won't
be able to execute the instance, Process Attachments and Notes can be
added to the details. (Issue #56319)
Workaround: Adding the Everyone group to AquaLogic
BPM Workspace Extension's portal objects security settings should be avoided.
-
General
- After un-deploying a project, a user who belongs to the process model
group and had selected a process in a report will receive an error message
shown in the report's main page saying, "Process XYZ not available". (Issue
#55613)
Workaround:
a) Removing role assignments for un-deployed projects will remove the
process report from the list of available reports.
b) Users can select another process report as a default.
-
General
-
Re-installing AquaLogic BPM Workspace Extensions 5.7 on top of an
existing AquaLogic BPM Workspace Extensions 5.7 installation is not
supported.
-
General
- In an IE 6.0 browser, Process Model Community reports display question
marks "?" for Asian locale strings. (Issue #56525)
Workaround:
1) Select a new encoding for the page. It does not matter which encoding
is selected in this step.
2) Ignore any errors that the browser may display.
3) Change the encoding to Unicode (UTF-8).
- Chinese font size is too small in the Workspace Extensions. (Issue
#56129)
Workaround:
Increasing font size in browser settings should resolve this issue.
- The Firefox Download dialog box shows garbled characters when localized
named files are opened by click-through at the Work Item Details Portlet.
(Issue # 55660)
-
General
- AquaLogic BPM Studio 5.7 SP1 does not work with the EDK Collaboration or Publisher samples. (Issue #56535)
